Nunzio Quacquarelli, managing director of QS says: “We are very proud of the level of engagement we have established with universities in the Arab region and we trust that this first edition of the rankings will and spark a higher degree of involvement and cooperativeness among universities regionally and internationally”

Ben Sowter, head of the QS Intelligence Units adds: “The higher education sector is a collegiate environment and QS has often been one of the key catalysts for positive changes among universities. Our rankings emphasise the importance of research collaborations in order to create an impact and they also focus on the relevance of an international faculty and an international student body. the peculiarity of our approach is the employer reputation element. We advocate bridging the gap between universities and the labour market and believe that universities aspiring to be leaders regionally and globally need to produce work-ready graduates as well as ground-breaking research and innovation”

Quacquarelli concludes” We look forward to receiving feedbacks from universities, students and employers and to continue to compile rankings that will provide valuable insights to our key stakeholders”.
